The instrument in which moving iron is used for measuring the current/voltage flow is called as the moving iron instrument.
It works on the theory that the iron place near magnet attracts it.
Force of attraction depends on the strength of magnet field.
Magnetic Field occurs by the electromagnet whose strength depends on magnitude of the current passing through it.

The instrument wherein the moving iron is employed to calculate the current or voltage is known as the moving iron instruments.
If the iron gets attracted towards the magnet, it is attraction and if it moves away then it is repulsion.
And this attraction or repulsion depends on the amount of magnetic field which is created around that moving iron.
