1. They make their own food.

2. They make food by the process of photosynthesis.

3. They use inorganic matter to create organic food that is glucose

4. Example - Green Plants, Blue Green Algae

Heterotrophs:

1. They depend on others for food and nutrition, either plants or animals.

2. They eat up other plants/animals, no food preparation is done.

3. They directly consume organic mattet

4. Example - Animals, Amoeba
