Let’s face it, computer technology touches just about every part of our lives today—from the cars we drive, the shows we watch, and the countless ways we interact with one another (not to mention businesses and governments). Understanding how to identify and solve real-world problems using technology is at the core of Computer Science and is highly sought after in today’s job market. To keep your career on the cutting edge and marketable in any business environment, considering a major in Computer Science is a sound investment.

UTSA’s Computer Science Program
At UTSA, you can earn the B.S. in Computer Science with optional concentrations in any of the following: Cloud and Systems, Cyber Security, Data Science, Software Engineering, or a Cyber Operations Track. In this program, you’ll obtain a deep understanding of computers, the inner workings of software and the application of computer technology to real-world problems. After earning your degree you’ll be able to pursue careers in industry, government or even graduate studies.

The National Security Agency (NSA) designated The University of Texas at San Antonio Computer Science department as a Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Operations Education in 2018. UTSA is one of only 20 institutions to receive the NSA Cyber Operations designation, which recognizes the ability to thoroughly prepare workforce-ready professionals to protect the nation’s information infrastructure.

The UTSA Computer Science department also offers a Certificate in Pathogenic Outbreak Investigations for students in biology, information systems, computer science and computer engineering disciplines to investigate biological and digital pathogen identification, propagation prediction and mitigation.

Already set on another major but interested in Computer Science? UTSA also offers a Minor in Computer Science where students learn the concepts, tools and techniques involved in computer programming.

Hope it helps plz mark as brainliest

The BS in Computer Science (BS in CS) is considered the science track and the BA in Computer Science (BA in CS) is considered the humanities track. Also the BS in CS degree is accredited by ABET and the BA in CS degree is not. The department encourages students to pursue the BS in CS if they are capable of completing it. We believe there will be more opportunities for BS in CS students after graduation, such as working for engineering and science firms. However, we do believe there will be significant opportunities for BA in CS students who are primarily interested in applications outside the sciences and engineering. The BA in CS is also an excellent track for students who are double majoring in another field outside the sciences and engineering
