Biodegradable substances are those that degrades or break down naturally. Non-biodegradable substances are those that do not degrade easily. These terms itself defines the ability of the substances which are degradable or not

Biological Waste- Biological Waste is any kind of waste containing infectious materials. It may also include waste associated with the generation of biomedical waste that visually appears to be of medical or laboratory origin as well research laboratory waste containing biomolecules or organisms that are mainly restricted from environmental release.

Non Biological Waste- Biodegradable waste includes any organic matter in waste which can be broken down into carbon dioxide, water, methane or simple organic molecules by micro-organisms and other living things by composting, aerobic digestion, anaerobic digestion or similar processes.
