Cognitive therapy (CT) is more commonly called cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). This is because it's almost always practiced with behavioural therapy principles. In short, the practice of CBT helps us to see that we often need to modify our behaviour as well as our thoughts in order to become more mentally healthy.
