Difference between compound pendulum and torsional pendulum

A physical pendulum or a compound pendulum is a rigid body that is hanged or suspended from a fixed support. There are a lot of examples of a compound or physical pendulum. They are:-

1) A heavy metallic bar which is suspended from a fixed support from a hole in its body

2) A circular ring like objects that can be suspended from a fixed nail in a wall

A torsional pendulum is a kind of pendulum which is an extended body that is suspended from a light thread or a wire like substance. The torsional pendulum along its axis of rotation is twisted by the suspending wire.
