As per the question we have to show the difference between concave lens and convex lens.

CONVEX LENS: Convex lens is one type of optically transparent spherical lens in which the central part is bulged outward and thinner at the edges.

[2] The convex lens is known as converging lens. It is so because the light rays moving parallel to principal axis are focused or converged at a point on the principal axis.

[3] The image formed by a convex lens is always real and inverted except the condition in which the object will be placed between focus and optical centre.

CONCAVE LENS: The concave lens is also an optically transparent spherical lens whose middle part is depressed and bulged at the edge.

[2] The concave lens is called as diverging lens . It is so because the rays moving parallel to principal axis are appeared to be coming from a point on the principal axis. This point is called as the focus of the lens.

[3] The image formed by a concave lens is always virtual, erect and diminished.
