difference between constructive interference and distructive interference

Constructive interfarance is the interfarence when crust of one light fall on crust of other light and trough of one light fall on trough of other light means the amplitude goes on increasing in constructive interference. But distructive interference formed when crust of one light ray fall on trough of other light ray or vice versa. means the amplitude of light goes on decreasing when distructive interference happen .
