The consumer oriented sales promotion have two main objectives
one is to increase the sale to the costumers existing buying the product and second is to attract more costumer. This is why it is also called pull strategy.
While trade oriented sales promotion aim at dealer network of the firm and try to motivate them to increase their product sales more. so that dealer sell more product of their company instead of other's brand . this is why it is called as push strategy.
