Tetonic Plates :
- Due to internal heat of earth , the currents of semi - molten rocks moves towards the crust.
- They tear it apart .
- Then , It is divided into two large fragments .
- These fragments are known as Tetonic Plates .
Movement of plates :
There are basically three types of plates :
Convergent
Divergent
Transform Fault
Divergent Movements :
when plates move away from each other , known as Divergent Movements.
Convergent Movements :
When plates move towards each other , known as Convergent Movements .
Transform Movements :
When two plates moves horizontally passing each other , known as Transform Movements .
