difference between decomposers and saprophytes

Saprophytes are those that feed or live on dead and decaying matter (in soil) whereas decomposers are those that break down dead and decaying organisms.


Examples:

Saprophytes-fungi, called mycorrhizals.

Decomposers-bacteria,fungi.
