Explanation:

I found this question really interesting and debateable. I've gone through the other answers which were written in response to this question and I duly respect their thoughts and ideals,I mean thats what we are supposed to do in a Democratic Country. But today,in India and in most other countries,I feel, people no longer value the power which they all possess, viz. THE POWER TO ELECT THEIR OWN GOVERNMENT. People are becoming opinionated and are not thinking about their own good and first and foremost, the welfare of the country. Many people believe that China has developed so much because they are not a democratic country but actually this thought is not right. China has developed because of their people and the attitude towards work which they possess. If and only if one can progress individually, then the whole country and eventually the world can march their steps towards development. We are lacking unity these days and the people who once elected their own governments are actually criticising the government which they elected. This is wrong. We must always stick to the decisions we have made earlier and support the government.Only then good governance can be achieved. If you personally ask my viewpoint,I feel I stand for the motion that Yes,Democracy is Compatible with Good Governance if and only if the demos is aware enough to know their own good. And Good Governance is not the responsibility of the Government only,it is also the responsibility of the citizens of the democracy too.A democracy will only flourish if one gives time to the government, keeps patience and stops criticising the Government as The Seven Wonders were not built in one day. So keep calm and stand firm by your decisions as if things don't go well, you always have the right to change, change for a better society.
