Working Population 
They are the ecomically active group. 
They are independent and look after themselves and able to contribute to the society 
They belong to the age group of 15-59 
In India they constitute 58% of the population. 

Dependant Population 
They may be economically inactive(below 15 years) or active(some people aged above 59). 
They are dependent to the working population.
Children aged below 15 and citizens above 59 years of age belong to this group. 
They together constitute the other.
