duffision is a process were the particle moves from the area of its higher concentration ti the area of its lower concentration .Diffusion allows both solute and solvent to move under its solution. It is a semipermiable membrane.
where as osmosis is a process were the novement in water moves from the area of its higher concentration to the area of its lower concentration .Osmosis alliw only solute to move . it is a selectively permeable membrane .
Hope it helps

1) in Osmosis a semi-retired permeable membrane is used.

2) it takes place from lower concentration to high concentration .

3) it applies to solutions only .

4) it can be stopped or reversed .

DIFFUSION :

1) In diffusion no semi permeable membrane is used .

2) it takes place from higher concentration to lower concentration .

3) it takes place in gases as well as solutions .

4) it cannot be reversed or stopped.

HOPe IT HELPS YOU !!!
