When an acid reacts with a base to form a salt the reaction is called neutralisation reaction. When radicals of two compounds are displaced by each other during a reaction the reaction is known as displacement rraction

In neutralization reaction an acid and base reacts to form salt and water. We can say that neutralization reaction is a type of double displacement reaction because its pattern is also like double displacement i.e.
AB+CD gives AD+CB.
But the products are salt and water like
H2SO4 + 2KOH gives K2SO4+H2O
The single displacement is another thing.
