difference between distance and displacement??

◆Displacement
→The shortest path between the two points is called displacement .....

distance is the total path covered and displacement is the shortest path covered from initial place
for eg. if you go from a to b and return to a then the total distance is ato b + bro a
and displacement is zero because your final position is your initial place
