Double displacement reaction is the reaction in which exchange of ions takes place in there ionic solution.

ex: - Na2SO4 + BaCl2 -------->2NaCl + BaSO4

Dispalcement reaction is the reaction in which more reactive element displaces less reactive element.

ex:-FeSO4 + Zn --------> ZnSO4 + Fe

In a displacement reaction, a more reactive element replaces a less reactive element from a compound. In a double displacement reaction, two atoms or a group of atoms switch places to form new compounds. In a displacement reaction, one displacement takes place. Metals react with the salt solution of another metal.
