The cards used for the bottom cylinder are for the odd picks, while those for the top cylinder are for the even picks.

Double lift single-cylinder jacquard:  

In double lift and single cylinder jacquard, 1 end is measured by 2 hooks which are again measured by a 1 needle. Two sets of knives are employed in DLSC jacquard and they move up and down in whole phase difference i.e. when one set of knives reaches the highest position, the other set of knives reaches the lowest position.

Cross border jacquard:

Cross border patterns are particularly modified to the production of handkerchief, napkins damask; table covers shawls tapestries and carpets.
