Dry Deciduous forests:-
1. These are found on peninsular plateau and plains of Bihar and Uttar Pradesh
2. These are found where rainfall is 100 – 200 cm.
3. Teak is the dominant species.
Moist Deciduous forests:-
1. They occupy vast areas between Thar desert, the Himalayas and on eastern slopes of western Ghats.
2. These are found where rainfall is 100 – 70 cm.
3. Sal is the dominant species.
