 1) They originate from the western ghats and flows to eastward direction.
2) They carry large amount of water. 
3) They form delta at their mouth.
 4)They flow into bay of bengal. 
5)Eg. Godawari, Krishna, Kaveri .

West Flowing rivers
 1) They originate from from central India and flow to westward direction.
2) They carry a small amount of water. 
3) They form esturies at their mouth. 
4) They flow into Arabian sea. 
5)Eg. Narmada, Tapi.

West flowing rivers flows towards west.

East flowing rivers form delta.
West flowing rivers form estuaries.

East flowing rivers have water throughout the year.
