n India based on direction of flow two kinds of rivers…
They are east flowing and west flowing rivers.
West flowing rivers are those which fall in arabian sea. These are mainly two major rivers Narmada and Tapti. There are also minor rivers, but they are less in number than east flowing rivers. It is because of higher altitude of western ghat. Western ghat is origin place of many east flowing rivers i.e. Godavari, kaveri, karishna etc. West flowing rivers are steep flowing means flow along the gradient. They does not carry sediments. Meanwhile also does not create Delta at river mounth. If they doesn't create delta, Estuary also not found.

East flowing rivers are those which falls in Bay of bengal i.e. Ganga, Brahmputra, Godavari, Karishna etc. These rivers carry sediments and create delta.
