eclipse is when one body come in front of another body and don't allow the light from that body to reach others

Eg-solar eclipse when moon came in front of sun abd the sunlight is not able to reach earth.

Shadow is formed when light passes from an opaque object. The opaque object did not fully covers the source of light.

Eg- when you stand in sunlight and your shadow is formed on opposite side.
