here is the answer of ur question:
1- electromagnetic can travel in vaccum but mechanical waves cannot travel in vaccum..
2- wave amplitude is the main cause for mechanical waves. electromagnetic is cause by the vibration of charged particles..
3- electromagnetic wave is also called disturbances but mechanical waves r called periodic disturbances.
