Young's Modulus is basically a relationship between stress and strain of an object. Since, it is the ratio of stress to strain therefore, it has the unit of pressure i-e, Pascal. The practical units used are Megapascal (MPa) or Gigapascal (GPa). However in English System, the unit of Young's Modulus is pounds per square inch (psi) and in metric system, Newton per square meter (N/m²) .
The standard value of Young's Modulus of iron is 28.5 x 10
⁶ psi or 210 x 10⁹ N/m².

The standard value of young modulus of iron is:

28.5× 10^6 psi or 210× 10^9 N/m^2
