occurs in non primates

Eg..dogs, cats

in this cycle if copulation doesn't occur the endometrium will be reabsorbed and there will be no flow of blood.

sexual urge is high during this cycle.

female permits copulation only during this period.

●menstrual cycle

occurs in primates

Eg..humans,apes,monkeys

if copulation doesn't occur the endometrium layer comes out with the flow of blood

sexual urge is not high during the menstrual period.

female will not permit copulation during the blood flow
