ethane is a saturated hydrocarbon and ethene is unsaturated hydrocarbon
ethane has 6 molecules of hydrogen and ethene contains 2 molecules of hydrogen

Ethane(C2H6) is a saturated molecule with only 1 covalent bond between C-C. While, Ethene(C2H4) is an unsaturated molecule with 2 covalent bonds between C-C.
