Oxidative phosphorylation begins with entry of electrons into the respiratory chain. These electrons usually arise from catabolic pathways such as CITRIC ACID CYCLE (TCA, KREB'S CYCLE) those are NADH, FADH2. ... The electron transport chain in the cell is the site of oxidative phosphorylation.
