Yes, there is difference between General Awareness and General Science.

General science means sharpness of the mind about things and matters. General awareness means day to day General knowledge of all things matters and world

General Awareness test is nothing but pure General knowledge. Almost all exams – competitive exams have one such paper but the name could differ. It is meant to test the knowledge of the candidate, apart from the usual subjects.
