Peroxisomal beta-oxidation. Fatty acid oxidation also occurs inperoxisomes when the fatty acidchains are too long to be handled by the mitochondria. The sameenzymes are used in peroxisomesas in the mitochondrial matrix, and acetyl-CoA is generated.
