Fragmentation is when an organism is split into fragments, and each fragment grows into complete, individual organisms that are clones of the original organism. ... Thedifference is that fragmentationspecifies two parts each growing into complete organisms, but regenerationis simply a general process of regrowth.

FRAGMENTATION
- It is mode of asexual reproduction in which the parent body splits into two or more fragments and each fragment develop into an organism under favourable condition eg., spirogyra.
- When parent body is mature,it divides into parts. It is maturity process.

REGENERATION
- It is the regeneration of Lost body parts and it is used as mode of reproduction is some organism like Hydra and planaria during unfavourable condition.
- It is accidental process.
