How may carboxylic group are present in succinic acid and benzoic acid?

Succinic acid :  

Its molecular formula is COOH-CH₂-CH₂-COOH, there are two carboxylic group present in this.

Benzoic acid:

Its molecular formula is C₆H₅COOH, there is only one carboxylic acid group present in it.

Structure of both succinic acid and benzoic acid can be seen in the image attached.

So, succinic acid has 2 carboxylic acid and benzoic acid has 1 carboxylic acid.
