hey mate!!

fragmentation is the splitting of an organism on becoming mature whereas in regeneration the splitting of organism (reproduction)occurs by accidental cuts , when an organism is cut into pieces each piece regenerates into a new organism, but reproduction cannot depend upon cutting.

fragmentation occurs in favourable conditions whereas regeneration does not occur in favourable conditions.

hope it helped!!

Fragmentation

Organisms that are fragmented result in each fragment growing into an individual organism.

A new individual emerges from each fragment

Only few very organisms can fragment and form a new individual

Fragmentation is observed in organism such as flatworms and sponges

REGENERATION

Regeneration occurs when an organism wants to regrow a lost limb or any other part of the body.

No new organisms are formed

All organisms exhibit some the ability to regenerate to some degree

Examples of regeneration include regrowing a lost limb, such as the tail of a lizard
