Gear generating: Gear generating includes the generation of gear by another apparatus, whose tooth is intended to be cutters. This chips away at the rule that two apparatuses having same module and pitch work with each other. The cutter could be a good adapt cutter or a rack cutter. Eg: shaping, hobbing

Gear Form cutting: In this procedure, the cutter utilized has a similar frame, as the space between the teeth to be cut. Eg: Milling, introducing

Gear forming: it is the way toward creating a gear, without utilizing the cutter, such as throwing and powder metallurgy or infusion forming techniques.
