Hii..
A great circle is the largest circle that can be drawn on the surface of a sphere. It has the same radius of the sphere on whose surface it rests. Cut a sphere into two symmetrical halves, and the hard edge of the cleave plane is a great circle.
Whereas a small circle is any other circle that can be drawn on a sphere. So (on a spherical earth, all latitudes except the equator are small circles). Take a perfect sphere and cut into two unequal parts. The hard edge of the cleave plane in that case is a small circle.
