A hacker is a person who gains unauthorized access to a computer system for the purpose of fixing flaws within the system and for improving security, while a cracker is one who gains unauthorized access to a computer (or network) system for the purpose of stealing or corrupting data.

Hackers and Crackers both explore computers, and access data and applications without owner's permission.
But Hackers do it for both ethical and unethical purposes. They not only steal important data but tamper with it and hack applications or websites to change the program logistics. Crackers are always destructive and only break into rhe computer to steal sensitive information like passwords, financial details, etc.
