Hampi is located in the south Indian state of Karnataka. It is an ancient village. It has a number of ruined temple complexes which belong to the erstwhile Vijayanagara Empire. The Virupaksha Temple is situated on the south bank of the River Tungabhadra. It belongs to the 7th-century. It is  near the revived Hampi Bazaar. There is a carved stone chariot in front of the huge Vittala Temple. The Daroji Bear Sanctuary which is situated in the Southeast of Hampi, is the home of the Indian sloth bear.
Machilipatnam is also called Masulipatnam and Bandar. It is in Krishna district, in the state of Andhra Pradesh. Masulipatnam is a municipal corporation. It is the administrative headquarter of the Krishna district.
