Highway

National Highways are the grade roads that connect every major city of India and are the backbone of the road infrastructure. The National Highways of India with two,four and or more lanes are built by charcoal but there are few built with cement concrete.India has second longest network of National highways,expressways and state highways system in the world. The national highways network of India provide roadways to connect various cities and important destinations. National Highway 7 and Agra Lucknow Expressway are the two longest road in India.

Expressway

Expressways are highways with six to eight lane controlled access road network and are the highest class of roads in India. The expressways are very high quality with modern features likes access ramps,Grade separation,lane dividers and elevated section.

Highway are commonly built as we may see them in every cities nowadays . They are used to connect one city from other by crossing the cities. They are used commonly by all of us . As NH24 comes as a daily use highway for every one . Highways have much toll taxes as they come after after 2 or 3 cities. U will understand highways easily by seeing express highways

Express highways are separated from cities as there is a main road and sideways there are roads extending to the cities . It is an easy way to go anywhere in a short period of time . Best example is EASTERN PERIPHERAL EXPRESSWAY which is newly built. They give a slip when we come on the expressway and there are toll taxes at th e end of every city and at last we give the money with the slip .

Expressway is gaining more importance than highways .
