There is only one phase of matter observed in a homogeneous mixture. ... The difference between heterogeneous and homogeneous mixtures is the degree at which materials are mixed together uniformity of their composition. Homogeneous mixture examples a homogeneous has the same uniform appearance and composition throughout.

Hope its help you

HOMOGENEOUS MIXTURE: A mixture which has uniform composition throughout its mass is called the homogeneous mixture.
FOR EXAMPLE-Alloys, cement and milk etc.

HETEROGENEOUS MIXTURE: A mixture which does not have uniform composition throughout its mass is called heterogeneous mixture.
For example-gun powder, smoke etc.
