indigo used to planted by British in West Bengal,Kolkata area by exploiting Indian workers with out any payments .It was most dark days of British rule some 250 years ago till 1931 when artificial indigo colour invented .
Regarding tea plantation ,it was again planted by British ast in Palampur ,Himachal Pradesh some 180 years ago .and still tea are produced from there .After that British planted in Darjeeling ,Assam,Jalpaiguri ,conoor (OOty),Munnar (kerala ) .Tea used to produced in China some 3000 years ago .China is the 1st inventor of Tea Tea contains catechins, a type of antioxidant. In a fresh tea leaf, catechins can compose up to 30% of the dry weight.
