Isoko- flagella are of the  same size.

Whereas, Heterokont/anisokont- flagella types are of different size.

They may be whiplash or tinsel kind depending upon the presence or absence of the species metagenomes over the surface of the flagella.

A flagellum is a lash-like appendage that originates from the cell body of definite kind of bacterial and eukaryotic related cells.

The primary role of the flagellum is locomotion, but it also functions as a sensory organelle, it being sensitive to chemicals and temperatures conditions outside the cell.
