Land pooling

Under this policy the lands owned by an individuals or groups are consolidated by transferring the ownership rights to the designated land pooling policy. Later it transfers the ownership of a part of the land back to the land owner for taking up the development of the area as notified.


Land acquisition

In India land acquisition refers to the process by which the central or state government acquires private land for the development of infrastructural facilities, industrialisation or urbanisation of the private land. It provides compensation to the affected land owners.

Land Pooling:
Land pooling is a concept in which a group of owner own small chunks of land who then assemble for the development of infrastructure. After the development of the land, the land pooling agency deduct some of the portion of the land as compensation towards infrastructure cost and then redistribute the land among owners.
Land Acquisition:
It is a process in which a government acquires private land for the purpose of industrialization or infrastructural development and in return provides compensation for the resettlement to the land owners.
