Answer: Latent heat of fusion changes solid to liquid while latent heat of vaporization condenses back to liquid.

Latent Heat of fusion is the amount of heat required to change from solid to liquid or released in a phase change from liquid to solid. Likewise, Latent heat of vaporization is the amount of heat needed to change liquid to vapor or released when vapor condenses back to liquid.

Latent heat of Vaporisation: The amount of heat energy that is required to change 1 kilograms of liquid into it's vapours at atmospheric pressure at it's boiling point is known as latent heat of Vaporisation.
