Difference between legislative assembly and parliament(central govt.)

The Parliament is the legislative organ of the Union government. ... So the Houses of Parliament are Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha i,e the legislativebodies. Thus the Legislature and theParliament more or less mean the same thing, with just a lil different notion that Parliament is an umbrella term for Legislature.
