Line can be extended from both the sides indefinitely.
It does not has fixed length.
Line segment has two fixed end points.
It has fixed lenght

A line do not have an ending.Its ending is at infinity(means no ending).
A line segment have an end point.
It can be terminated at any point.Clearly it is a segment of line.
