Difference between loacation and position vector

A position vector is a vector in the direction OA (so starting from the origin and going to a point A).

I'd guess a direction vector is a vector from a point A to a point B, denoted AB. 

If you see a vector written as a or a, it most likely means just OA (i.e. the position vector). AB with an arrow is the vector from the point A to point B.

LOCALIZED:-
A vector whose tail is fixed is called localized vector.
