Difference between Mechanical wave and electromagnetic waves on the basis of 11 class don't copy your answer okk

Mechanical waves need a medium to travel but electromagnetic waves doesn't need a medium to travel .
Electromagnetic waves can travel in vacuum but mechanical waves can't .
Mechanical waves are considered as a periodic disturbance but electromagnetic waves are considered as just disturbance .
Mechanical waves get absorbed but electromagnetic waves are not absorbed .
Speed of mechanical waves is less compared to electromagnetic waves .
Example of mechanical waves is sound whereas example of electromagnetic waves is light .
