Difference between Meiosis and mitosis. Please Explain

A type of cell division in which the parent cell divides into 4 other cells haveing half no. of chromosomes in each is called meiosis
while in mitosis the parent cell divides into 2 other cells with equal no. of chromosomes in each.

Mitosis results in two daughter cells
Meiosis results in four daughter cells
Daughter cells formed as a result of mitosis re diploid
While those as a result of meiosis are haploid
