Differences between Meristematic tissue and ground tissue

Meristematic tissue

a )This tissue has the capacity to divide
b)There are three types of ground tissues. They are parenchyma, collenchyma and sclerencyma
c) They are found at the tips of the plants either the shoot or the root tips
d) They are responsible for the growth in the plants depending on the location of the meristem

Ground tissue

a) They have lost the capacity to divide
b) They are of three types. They are Apical meristem, intercalary meristem and lateral meristem
c) They are found in all the parts of the plants; roots stem and leaves.

MERISTAMATIC TISSUE :-

  • Cells of the tissue divided throught their life
  • They are located at specify region of the plant , animal , optical , latural , intercalary
  • Cells of the tissue are very active , have dense cytoplasm , thin walls and prominent nuclei . they lack vacuoles
  • This tissue leads to growth of plant
  • Cell wall is cellulose

GROUND TISSUE :-

  • They lose the ability to devide and take up specific function
  • They are distributed through out the plant body parenchyma , collenchyma and sclerenchyma
  • They are vacualated vary in shape and size . Their cell wall may be thick
  • This tissue causes differentiate of cells
  • Cell wall isade up of cellulose suberin
