he main difference between meristematic tissue and permanent tissue is that meristematic tissue consists of young living cells that are capable of continuously dividing and are responsible for the plant growth while permanent tissue consists of specialized cells that have lost their ability to divide and function as protective, conductive, and supportive tissue.
