Difference between meso isomerism and resmic mixture

For a compound to be meso it must have atleast two chiral carbons and some type of symmetry. It is not optically active.

Racemic Mixture is 1:1 mixture of dextro(+) and laevo(-) rotatory compounds which cancl each other's effect and does not rotate the plane polarisd light
